Electronic journals: Terms of Use
By accessing the electronic full text of a John Benjamins journal you indicate that you have read and accept the terms and conditions stated in these Term of Use.
Definitions
- The "Publisher" is John Benjamins Publishing Company, Amsterdam & Philadelphia.
- The "Subscriber" is the person, institute, library or company holding the subscription. Subscriptions are entered per volume.
- An "Authorized User" is any member of the subscribing institute that can get access through a closed local network, or any person physically present on the site of the subscribing institute. In the case of a private subscription, the Subscriber is the only Authorized User.
- The "Material" is the electronic version of a volume of a journal published by the Publisher, or any part thereof that is only made available to Subscribers.
Terms of Use
- The Material will be delivered to Subscribers through the ingentaJournals system, and will be available to Subscribers who have registered with ingenta to access this system.
- The Publisher warrants long-term availability of the Material. If the Material should no longer be made available through ingenta, the Publisher will offer other options and inform the Subscriber about these.
- The Publisher accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage consequent upon the use of the Material or the ingentaJournals system.
- The Material is copyright of the Publisher or under license to the Publisher.
- The Subscriber and the Authorized Users may make all use of the Material as is consistent with international copyright laws and the Fair Use Provisions of the United States. However, the Subscriber and the Authorized Users are not permitted to:
- allow the Material to be accessed by anyone other than Authorized Users;
- alter, amend, modify or change the Material;
- engage in systematic copying or downloading of the Material, other than strictly necessary to view the Material;
- use the Material either directly or indirectly for the purpose of interlibrary loans (ILL).
- make the Material available in any other form or medium or to create derivative works without the prior written permission of the Publisher.
